And you need not change anything
ValiWrap uses the same method as nurses during manual wrapping, can use the same wrapping material and, what’s more, is absolutely precise when wrapping the trays, whereby the risk of infection propagation is reduced to a minimum.
How does it work

ValiWrap has a sterilization paper tray. Just load a pack of the sterilization sheets cut to size into the tray, and ValiWrap will feed the sheets automatically.

CSSD operator puts a tray with medical instruments into the machine and pushes a button.

ValiWrap wraps the tray and prepares it so that the only thing the staff must do is transfer the wrapped basket into the sterilizer.
Main advantages of the machine
Fault-free and safe sterilization
Automatic wrapping eliminates any human error. ValiWrap wraps the instruments perfectly every time so the risk of contamination is minimized.
Time saving
ValiWrap works automatically, thus saving time for the nurses, who can do some more useful work. And ValiWrap is designed to do double sequential wrapping.
The same material as before
You can use the same material as you use for manual wrapping – the same sterilization paper as before (crepe, nonwovens, SMS).
The same wrapping technique
ValiWrap uses the same wrapping technique as the nurses for the manual wrapping, so the instrument packs will look like you are accustomed to. It can wrap baskets of up to 80 × 60 cm, weighing up to 14 kg.
No staff training needed
The machine is operated by a single person. This person need not know anything about the correct wrapping procedure, in other words, no special staff training is required.
No need to pre-cut the sheets
ValiWrap has its own paper tray from which paper is fed automatically. So you need not specifically cut or prepare the sheets.

From a traceability point of view, it’s great to get this kind of automatic packaging machine being developed.
It gives CSSDs the opportunity to also automatize the traceability part of the sterilization wrap folding, with an integrated “folding & packing” step where the used sterilization wrap material is directly associated to instruments more easily, and the traceability operation can be organized by the person in charge while the machine runs the folding process.
